Uh guys... do you see that singing boobed werewolf there? No? Uh oh

Art direction: A vast ocean with ships sailing through it’s calm seas, the sun piercing through the picturesque clouds and trees with running rivers in the background.  Oh, and a female werewolf resting her huge boobs on a sword, howling upwards with a dark halo…….what are you looking me like that for?

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of artI would touch it without protective glovesI have seen worse. Far, far worseInteresting, but I would still read it in publicMiddling: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lamé picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! Feels so good!Good Show, Sir.... Good Show! (Average: 7.26 out of 10)

Thought it should be noted that David passed away a couple of days ago now:

If it’s not too harsh to say, after a quick google at his other covers I want to check them out. :)

Wow! The copy of Sorceress of Darshiva that I read looked nothing like this. Good thing, too, as I was in high school at the time and this sort of cover would only have gotten it confiscated. And, of course, there is no wolf-headed woman wielding a sword anywhere in the story. But there are boats…

Why does a man sail the seas? To find fame and fortune? To explore new lands and new civilizations? To discover adventure? To get away from a naked werewolf’s caterwauling and chromatic flatulence? For me, it was all of these…and more!

Was Polgara the huge boobed werewolf sorceress? I read this in 91 and forget what happened.
    No, I won’t google it.

  6. Stevie T Says:

@rev–No, it was Polgara’s mom. But she was a wolf, or she was a woman. She didn’t go around halfway in-between howling Whitney Houston songs in her all-together. And would probably die of embarrassment if she saw herself pictured that way.

    Poledra! I forgot about her.
