I bought Marseguro from amazon.
I looked up a few of your older covers too, some are pretty cheesy to say the least, but i guess they're aimed at young teens. Spirit Singer gave me a chuckle.

Congrats on the Aurora Award.
Don't be a stranger if you feel like submitting some of your other books for our harsh judgement ;-)

Thanks for linking us from your site.

That's great!

When I do school readings I make fun of some of the covers of my own earliest books, so believe me, I know where you're coming from!

Thats really cool. Just saw the photo!

Terra Insegura is actually a really good cover. The soft colours (and focus) always work really well, and no one particular object in the cover draws too much attention. Stephan Martiniere has done an awesome job.

Repect for indulging our strange hobby, i read the first chaper of Marseguro on your site. Quite liked it, ill buy it since you're cool B-) , after i read it, i'll even reccommend it to all 3 of my friends ;-)

Hey, I didn't even know my site automatically created weird, linkage, comment things when I created a post like that...but cool.

The Lost in Translation cover is by the same artist, Steve Stone. My new cover (for Terra Insegura, the sequel to Marseguro) is by Hugo-winner Stephan Martiniere. Quite a difference, but I've been happy with all of my covers from DAW so far. The Marseguro cover for some reason seems to generate a lot of love-it-or-hate-it reaction, with little in between.

I actually do have a photo of me holding Lost in Translation. I'll email it!

Well i did follow the link to your site a read a bit so i guess your devilish plan worked... Nice site, however i did notice the cover for Lost in translation, i wish we had it instead. Its awesome. Can you give us a photo of it in your hands? ;-)

Marseguro is not even in the same league of badness as nearly every Baen book cover. But i'd still not particularly want to read it on a train full of 'normal' people (they dont like our type there).

Wow! Thanks for the wierd, linkage, comment thing!

Edward if you are reading this we hope you read the about section to see what we are doing here.

Please don’t misunderstand, the content of these books are most likely very imaginative and brilliant. This is simply about the covers that grace them, with their own unique sort of imagination and brilliance. We laugh, yes, but wholeheartedly salute their greatness too.

To be fair this is just filler between the Baen covers :P
