In my life time, I’ve seen dragons vs lasers, dragons vs swords, even dragons vs man-tigers. Where haven’t we gone you ask? Well my dear friend, let me but whisper these words into your ear and pray they don’t start to bleed with pleasure. Dragons vs Concordes! That’s right, with shoulder pads and eighties hair cuts!

Not the worst of covers really. But I’m in Amsterdam at some sort of conference. It’s too early. They don’t allow me coffee in the hall. And this was the most dutch sounding name I could find!

    :)

Whats the swoosh about? Are they in some kind of flying seat thing?

I rather like the dragon though, he’s really quite exciting.

  3. SI Says:

No idea what the swoosh is about. Yea the dragon is pretty sweet.

But what’s with the attitude that he is getting? That guy is totally like, ‘unless your re-filling my wine glass I don’t want to know you.”

“Darling, open another 1787 Chateau Lafite while i give these damnable dragoon’s a spanking, and we’ll be home in Brighton for tea and scones by lunch. The greatest advancement mankind has made, is the ability to steer this concorde with my wine glass.”

The shoulder pads on her are awesome, she’s so buff looking! Is it just me or are her breasts located on her stomach? …poor girl…

The swooshes could mean that these two humanoids are inside a transparent cockpit.

Searching for something to back that up, I found this which forms part of the book’s official description: “[the adventure involves] Rival superpowers that define Good in terms of their own advantage and Ethics as whatever doesn’t get in the way of their Good”. Is it just me, or is that a dig at the big ‘tology?

  6. CSA Says:

A cockpit, now it makes sense…

I fear the ‘tologists who must not be named…

but damn can they make good book covers!

You mean to tell me that a woman wearing those shoulder pads, with that haircut is seriously not going to have a decent bra?

    Hoik it up love!

The guy looks like he’s saying ‘phew, floss my friend, floss before brushing.’

  8. Little Mi Says:

That’s SF for you Roses. Always an amazing lack of supportive undergarments. Maybe the lower gravity makes them less necessary, though this does not appear to be the case in this particular instance I admit.

  9. SI Says:

Now now.. you just aren’t thinking SF! Surely they would have anti-gravity bras.

    Possibly nuclear powered!
