Well any piece of art such as a women sitting on her horse, in the middle of the wood, summoning a huge glowing chalice, just isn’t complete with out a huge boarder. It’s like you’ll be staring in through a window into a magical world.

Border of Epicness +1
For some reason i find the “AWARD WINNING AUTHOR” line worse than anything. She may have won an award, but why not say which award she won? btw aparantly its the “Crawford Award” I hope the award wasn’t for the cover

I do enjoy the look the horse is giving her a kinda of:
“does anyone smell something?”

Must not hit the submit button by accident, meant to say;
“does anyone smell something burning?”
Then lots of comic running around to find some water.

So this has nothing to do with the Princess getting her first period?

‘Black Jewels Trilogy’, directly above an, er, Purple Jewel. Is somebody colour-confused? Or is purple the new black?

Someone should ask Prince.

Thank you Barbara! Sometimes it’s too early in the morning to notice these things.

By Krom this cover is busy! Woman, horse, chalice… simple, right? No, I can barely tell what I’m looking at as my eye is bouncing from oversized font to garish border like a pinball.
I hope whoever “designed” this cover can bare to look at their face in the mirror. Their busy, garishly-bordered mirror.

Erm, I meant ‘bear’, and that’s the naked truth.

Actually the colors of the jewels correspond to the magical strength and potential of the bearer. It is set in a female dominated world where magic is becoming corrupted through misuse and the attempt to control not only the men, but all those with talent. Witch, who is the Daughter of the Blood in question is a foretold bearer of incredible power who has Saetan, Daemon, and all of Hell(I think it is spelled Hayl, don’t quite remember) on her side. Rather good with an almost steampunk touch to it.
That said, tis a poopy cover, it tis. Mine is much better, though rather plain.
