HOOOOLLLLLLY CRAAAAAAAP... Who dressed you in purple?Click for full image

I don’t know where I’ve been for the past few days, but I found this written on the back of my hand:  Blue black skin, golden eyes, brain tubes, explosions, horrified expression, spaced out look, glass dome head.

Oh wait, it’s just all the classic symptoms of reading a collection of  Sci-Fi stories.

Actually, that cover is a visual feast!I would pick that one up.Neeaaa, I've seen worse.Interesting, but I would still take it on a train. It's somewhere between the awful/good scale.Would not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...I swear, thats my flatmates!Gah... my eyes! They are burning!Good Show Sir.... Good Show! (Average: 8.87 out of 10)

Actually…. is the inside on that dome a clock? He’s been turned into a clock?

I really don’t know… its hard to guess, especially given the list of short stories , possibly “The Time Wager” by John Kippax?

None of those titles really sound like they involve a galaxy sized blue/black God with a glass domed head, who spends his eternity shouting (or singing opera?)

  3. SI Says:

So that’s what people mean when they say a space opera? ;)

Well if you can get past the Black and White Minstrel Show blacking up this is, in a dated pulpy way, really rather splendid.

    *Goes off for lie down*

Of course the man has been turned into a clock. Look at it more closely. It’s a negative of Albert Einstein, and this is a reference to relativity. (Honest guv.)
