I wouldnt have read them if they had covers as bad as that one though. It goes without saying that the star wars ones were pretty awful covers too. I think the most impressive thing about this cover is that the BAEN logo could be accused of be subtle. The visual metaphor for pain and visual distortion is nicely done. I think all the embossing is meant to represent a halo. (I have never heard of this book before but I used my telepathic powers to read Jen's mind. And now I have a headache.)
