Look in the background… it’s:
[bass voice with echo]
TWINKIES… OF… THE GODS!!

“Stonehenge! Where the demons dwell!
Where the banshees live and they do live well …
Stonehenge! Where a man’s a man
And the children dance to the Pipes of Pan”

“No one knew who they were, or what they were doing…”
Spinal Tap still rocks

“Loki the Unwashed. He could knock a man down with the smell from under his cloak.”

By contrast, the lowest swordsman’s helmet is pretty well detailed. Worthy of Games Workshop package art.

Oh, and it’s difficult to tell but am I right in thinking that the cloaked warrior’s eyes are focused off-cover to his left? Is he “striking a pose”?
Could it be that he is in fact a catalogue model, the Derek Zoolander of ancient times, who had a hideously racist vendetta against redheaded Celts?
In ancient times, hundreds of years before the dawn of history…

White space! Lots of it, boys! We’re going to come up big with this cover.

This cover, at least, confirms the (somewhat obscure) hypothesis that Stonehenge was built by time-traveling Vikings.

Please tell me that there is slight cover damage that makes the dying warrior on the right look like he’s sticking his tongue out, and that said tongue is very shiny.

Bunny-ears there is actually in a half-way decent golf swing position. He dropped his shoulder a bit much and he’s going to roll his wrists through so fast that he’s bound to hook it, but a couple of lessons and he’ll be bombing that seven sword.

@Babbage – I hear Tiger Woods is now practicing his swing with a spiked shield on his arm.

@Justin: Yup, his eyes are looking up and to his left, as if to say “Again with the Viking hordes? Cuh!”
@NGpm: Luckily, you’re right, that’s a ding in the cover, not his tongue.
@Babbage: It is an interesting technique, isn’t it? Especially when you notice (as I just did) that the sword hilt is BEHIND his right hand.
I wish I’d put a little more thought into the commentary on this one, between that and having also noticed that Horn Guy in the foreground apparently has a foot-long neck, and that Dead Guy on the left may just be collapsed in helpless laughter.
But all I could think of when I ran across this one (in a box in the garage that’s yielded a trove of awful covers for this site) was MY HELMET HAS BUNNY EARS. YOUR ARGUMENT IS INVALID.

Fore! Oh no what a wicked slice … he’d best be getting out his recovery club.

you don’t usually see the shield+2-handed sword combo
