He’s so arch he can arch his eyebrow while wearing a cartoon vulture logo – for all we know he’s standing in an actual arch. He’s probably arching his back as well. Created by an archbishop too. Arch, is what I’m saying.

I fear the Gene Wolfe quotation has been taken out of context:
I’m sure some people will READ IT, AND HAVE A THRILLING ADVENTURE THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN SERIALIZED IN PLANET STORIES, while the rest of us will toss it aside as outdated, derivative junk.
Not that I’m pre-judging, mind.

The Gene Wolfe blurb is a carcrash, though, isn’t it? ‘read a story that would have been serialised in Planet Stories‘ makes me mentally add ‘…would have, if only it hadn’t been such rubbish.’

@AS – No, a few years ago SciFi channel changed their name to SyFy. That’s also when they started showing things like professional wrestling. Though that finally seems to be gone. (The woman who used to be in charge HATED science fiction so she was forever putting on non-scifi programing.)
