Luis Royo, isn’t it? He’s the Thomas Kinkade of cover art.

  2. A.R.Yngve Says:

“Sara Douglass has the bread vision”…??

    You mean, epic fantasy bread?

  3. vampy-ra Says:

The font is extravagant, but you simply can’t vote against Luis Royo.

  4. Jaouad Says:

Because nothing says ‘kick-ass amazonian swordmistress’ like a long, flowing see-through dress.

  5. David Cowie Says:

Damn you Jouad! I was going to point out her lack of armour, and you beat me to it by ten minutes. That’ll teach me not to read the paper and phone the vet before checking GSS.

  6. Phil Says:

Don’t beat yourself up, David Cowie; the pop-up description of the cover when you mouse-over it also refers to her armourlessness.

  7. THX 1138 Says:

Where are the shades? Have they been redeemed?

  8. David Cowie Says:

@ Phil #6: I’m using a tablet, which doesn’t do mouse-overs. As a matter of interest, what does it say?

‘The Wayfarer Redemption’? Not Wayfarer’s, or Wayfarers’ but using a noun as an adjective. Very Robert Ludlum.Or maybe it’s using ‘way’ as a modifier, as in ‘way cool’. Can’t say farer than that.
Or maybe it’s a form of redemption exclusive to customers of a chain of roadside cafes. Sequels might include ‘The Happy Eater Apotheosis’ and ‘The Little Chef Manumission’. A sword and sorcery epic with Heston Blumenthal as an archmage.
The guy with the stick behind the holo-orrery is clearly lead singer from 80s hair-metal band Magnum, the one who did those strange hand-gestures while singing as if he was about to produce a dove, an egg and some hankies.

  10. fred Says:

Just going by the title alone I would swear this is a Robert Ludlum book. Nice domes. All three of them.

  11. A.R.Yngve Says:

    Or how about title mash-ups:

THE OVERTON REDEMPTION by Glenn Beck

THE WAYFARER WINDOW by Sara Douglass

THE OVERTON WAYFARER CONSPIRACY by Robert Ludlum

Maybe it’s an apology for this gem:
