Whoa. What the? The cover artist has got my attention. I haven’t the slightest idea what the hell that is, but I am intrigued. If that’s a unicorn, well, for the first time EVER I want one.

“Please kill me… every moment I live is agony!”

  3. space_merchants Says:

@GoodShowSir ha, I always quite liked this one!

  4. Tom Noir Says:

I’m glad to see that the money they saved on typefaces went… toward…

    *stares*

  5. SFRuminations Says:

@space_merchants @GoodShowSir It’s fun! But, let’s be honest, not that great…. haha. I prefer Powers’ cover (duh), http://t.co/IPlDXotkyX

  6. Tat Wood Says:

So much more portable than those old dead tree Pluribus Unicorns

  7. Bibliomancer Says:

The gratuitous after-the-fact addition of the unicorn to tie in with the book title ruins this masterpiece of late-60s-don’t-take-the-brown-acid psychedelic art.

Otherwise it would be hanging in the Guggenheim.

  8. Tom Hering Says:

Okay, so there’s a unicorn, upper right. And below that, a black cat. And to the left of them both, a yellow-green skeletal hand with long claws, grasping a bright red head with bulging eyes. And in front of that, striking a pose, is a girl with tattooed breasts – and a black arm coming down out of her ribcage. Plus leaves and hot rod flames behind it all.

Yup. Any stoner high school kid who ever spent an hour doodling in class can sue for plagiarism.

  9. THX 1138 Says:

    E pluribus vomito.

Shouldn’t there be a great seal here? Balancing a ball on its nose?

  10. SFRuminations Says:

@space_merchants @GoodShowSir I know! I also love what they did with the text boxes… Usually the text is just placed haphazardly on it

  11. thebiggfrogg Says:

‘Least its interesting. Beats generic Photoshop covers.

  12. B. Chiclitz Says:

I think I see the words “Black Sabbath Rulz” encoded in there somewhere.

The unicorn’s horn is longer than its body, just saying.

  13. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

Oddly enough, I caught this thing laying down in my ex’s lap just before we broke up.

  14. Simon Says:

I love that cover. That is all.

  15. fred Says:

I don’t think the Luchador can eat that big pile of pancakes.

  16. Phil Says:

The Yorkshire edition of this book was titled E BAH GUM.

  17. A.R.Yngve Says:

Hey! Who let Banksy into the bookstore?

  18. Scott B Says:

    Yipes, that’s certainly… something…

Melty-faced person is creeping me out, that’s for sure.

  19. Jerk of all Trades Says:

The person with the giant forearm for their lower body is really freaking me out.

  20. Mongoose Says:

Helvetica. Poor, poor Helvetica. People abuse you so.

  21. Tom Noir Says:

Of course “E pluribus unicorn” is Latin for, “Out of many… unicorn.”

  22. A.R.Yngve Says:

Judging by the way the economy is going, they might as well print “E pluribus unicorn” on the dollar bills instead of the old slogan….
