Trust the earth to dream of something ranchy... Click for slightly larger image

Good Show Sir’s Art Direction: Lets not beat around the bush… though best not to show any of that… lets keep the randy teenagers guessing by covering her with… sperm shaped space ships! I think this is the cover this climax deserves.

Many thanks to Sara!

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! 1. SI Says:

I just have images of justifying this on a bus, “It’s not what you think! It’s the climax of an epic saga!”

  2. Del Says:

I honestly thought sperm-shaped spaceships were GSS’s new space sheep.

  3. Bibliomancer Says:

I came upon this same cover at my local bookshop.
But then I was too embarrassed to take a photo.

  4. Perry Armstrong Says:

    @BM: “I came upon this same cover…”

That’s the thing about this cover – it looks like someone already did!

  5. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

Goodness! The E and the D are in flagrante delicto!

  6. THX 1138 Says:

Eric Van Badluster seems tremendously overexcited by Sean Young’s space nudism.

  7. fred Says:

It’s Jews. JEWS! JEWS IN SPACE NOT COOZ IN SPACE!

  8. Tat Wood Says:

Are we sure that’s a girl? And what does the blurb have to do with anything?

  9. fred Says:

@Tat – Hmmmm…hips?…adams apple?…5 o’clock shadow? The blurb isn’t intact. Top line is ‘Not since Dune…’, which adds a whole other layer to Mr Lustbader’s blathering.

  10. Tom Noir Says:

Mr. Lustbader is the author of THE NINJA, so everything he says should be taken very. seriously.

  11. Tom Noir Says:

Has anyone else noticed that the sperm-ships have tiny faces??? Or did I grab the wrong pill bottle again?

  12. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

Edge of Tomorrow: the Original Script.

  13. Bibliomancer Says:

Don Ivan Punchatz fans will want to have this cover version, suitable for framing ($46.99+), to hang in their boudoir.

  14. RachelJ Says:

So I guess Brunette Space Goddess is the sister of Blonde Space Goddess, last seen on the covers of “Up to the Sky in Ships” and “The Star-Crowned Kings”.

As for Van Badluster, he is of course one of the most subtle and cryptic authors of the 20th Century. You might think that “The Ninja” is about a ninja, but you would be wrong. It’s actually about *two* ninjas. Which, then, is *the* Ninja, to whom the title refers? The reader is left pondering this eternal enigma.

  15. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

‘Not since Lust have we witnessed a ninja struggle of such bad intensity!’

Eric van Awesomeduner, power of The Author

  16. RachelJ Says:

“Not since Ninja have we powered a lust struggle of such awesome badness!”

Dune van Intensity, author of The Eric.

  17. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

    @RachelJ: 🙂 I shouldn’t have even tried…

  18. Tat Wood Says:

Thanks to Bibliomancer, I now want to know if the back cover of this book also shows an attempt to deface the special limited edition Obergefell Vs Hodges commemorative coin.

  19. anon Says:

“Van ninjas.. We struggled.. The power… Not had bad lust of such intensity since.”
Eric Duner, author of Awesome!, a witness.

  20. A.R.Yngve Says:

The time window for spaceships passing just in front of the lady’s private parts should be… off the top of my head… 0.1 millionth of a second.

  21. Anna T. Says:

Those are either sperm-shaped spaceships (try saying that three times fast), or “space fish”. Take your pick.

  22. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

@B’mancer: oh, I wish I had followed your link earlier! I could have bought a package of holiday cards with the space sperm fish ships on it. Ah, well, there’s always next year…

  23. Calyx Says:

And the ‘Kerrions’ …did anyone think to get their thoughts on this subject?
