… followed by the tongue of death, the grope of death, the intercourse of death – and of course, or of corpse, the portrait session of death! Dating the girls at art school is brutal.
Is it just me, or is something anatomically wrong with that forearm? It looks more like it’s a hollow tube kinked in the middle, rather than something with muscles flexing underneath blue, furry skin.
I can’t find a synopsis of this anywhere. All I found was an interview with the author (with whom I once drank vodka with all night at a party — do not do this with someone with a name like that). He said “it’s out of print which is probably for the best.”

This glimpse behind the scenes explains quite a bit about the covers we see here…

The American Graffiti font is just……wrong. Although I do wonder about the soundtrack for this cover.

In the face of so much oddness it may seem silly of me to pick on such a trivial point but… why is she using a paintbrush to do a pencil-sketch?

That miniature dragon has one hell of a nosebleed. Either that, or the painting’s alive and the lizard just bit it . . . which is somewhat disturbing.
Also, is the artist Nightcrawler’s twin sister or something?

@B’mancer: what [SA]HatfulOfHollow said. 😉

Good thing they put the “science fiction” tag in the corner or I might have mistaken it for a novel of Russian existentialism.

@Tat Wood, B’mancer—no matter what the medium, the execution is purr-fectly dreadful.

@ GSS 17 – German publication. So the cover makes some kind of sense.

@fred: Just when you thought this cover was the worst — enter Germans!
