Anneka Rice had to put up with some really blurry footage on Treasure Hunt.

Star witch. Sounds like a Trumpian twitter insult.
I no longer pay attention to pointing internets arrows unless they are in YouTube red.
Is that origami in the background?

Mr Unknown Artist isn’t doing the author any favors here. Was he holding a grudge? Did Lymington run off with his wife? That star witch!

Ah the perils of Impressionism. Is she pointing a gun at the reader? Flipping the bird? It’s so hard to tell through that shimmering violet haze. Also, do we have a “jaunty hip” tag? She could use one.
By the way, Mikee, haven’t read this one either.

I don’t see any shuriken here, or is it hidden in the purple murk?
(“Purple Murk”: Prince’s least-successful album.)
Did someone start to draw the jaunty bimbo, and then they weren’t able to get anyone else from UAI, so the best they could do was throw in some murk and a whole lot of design elements? Multicolored frames, drop shadows, arrows, blurb.

@GsSxN – I guess technically it’s an “arrow of approval”. I’ll fire one of the staff.

It looks like a bad photo taken in a nightclub.

@TW: That’d be one of the Chinese GSS staff, then?
@Anna T: A nightclub with a malfunctioning smoke machine. No wonder the damsel’s alone, everyone else stepped out for some fresh air.

Are you SURE this is from 1965?
There’s a definite 70s vibe here.

@ARY: Well-spotted! ISFDB says the book was first printed in 1968, but this cover is from sometime after 1970. Plus, the $1.50 cover price is far too high for 1965.
I agree it looks quite mid-70s.
