Do iguanas even HAVE civilization? I can understand how, all things considered, one might wear flares into war, what with this being published in ’66, but do iguanas (even civilzed ones) wear trousers?

I always used to wonder about the giant iguanas in the Buster Crabbe ‘Flash Gordon’ – were they the true rulers of Mongo and were Ming’s pretentions to be ruler mere braggadocio?
