Adam Comments: Backstage at an Alice Cooper concert.

Grady Comments: I’m disappointed, to be honest. The back of the book says, “They speak German. They carry whips. And they are connected in some mysterious way with Nazi experiments carried out in the charming old Irish castle during World War II.” Meh, I’ve seen more charming Irish castles.

I haven’t done a mega post or an honourable mentions in a while so here we go! Here’s a collection of some special French covers sent in by Cedric and Paul. Thanks very much and I hope everyone enjoys them!
Cedric Comments: Here is a wonderfully psychedelic and disturbing cover. This is before Photoshop, in the late 70s/early 80s.

Cedric Comments: Note the strange animal at the front, confused about whether it should be a polar bear, an unicorn or some kind of big eagle. Or maybe a big confused cat, judging by the claws? And of course you can find a lightly clad lady in the back, requested by the marketing department to boost sales.

Cedric Comments: There is something highly disturbing about these little hairy folks.

Paul’s Art Direction: Mutants have eyes. This is an anthology of mutant stories that means lots of eyes in fact so many eyes you could float on them, do it!

Paul’s Art Direction: Make everything droopy!

Chuck’s Art Direction: As for the baby I want you to base it on this photo of my own. Also, can make the skeleton smile lovingly? Oh! Make it one of those bumpy covers too, I just love those!

Thanks to the Chuck!
Dorian’s Art Direction: Kali, eh? Goddess of death and destruction? It’s not exactly…well, friendly, now is it? I tell you what. Make the cover pink. Bright pink. That’ll be more…cosy, like.

Many thanks to Dorian!
Christal Comments: This is what happens when you let your artist take Acid and then read Lewis Carroll.

Ending the week with more… romantic… literature!
Many thanks to Christal!
This covers have all been sent in by River and I thought they might all make an excellent mega post. Thanks very much to River who has also provided some information about each!

This third hardcover reissue contains two novels written by a Hungarian author under English pseudonym. Writing fantasy and science fiction stories under English pen names was very popular in the 90s. And many readers really thought that these writers are from abroad.

Translating the Hungarian title to English was also a strange tradition in these books just like the English pen names for Hungarian writers. You can read inside that, “A szellemlátó,” means, “The Spiritseer”. Hardcover.
