Happy New Year!
And so the world has spun, strutted and wobbled its way around the sun yet again! We’ve come through ruff storms, predictions of the end of the world and a lot of superhero movies. This leaves us though with one eternal question, will anyone find a cover to top I Sing The Body Electric!?! It certainly doesn’t look like it! But who knows, who knows eh? I am sure the year ahead will be full of wondrous treasures!
Thanks to everyone for sending in all the covers we’ve posted over the year! And thanks to everyone who leaves a comment. Oh they do make me laugh! Ah ha ha ha ha… ha!
The top rated cover of the year:
A personal favourite:
CSA Chooses Lizard shield attack:
And finally, just for the double triple Ting!
D Plover Comments: Having looked at this often, I realise that the most startling thing about this cover is not the anxious bird man, the three arsed lady or the giant foot, but the super-neon numeral 4 that’s blasting out of the cover!

John A H Comments: The future belongs to the designer egg timer people.

Matthew Comments: I remember the TV programme of this being pretty scary…

Whitney Comments: I’m sending in two different covers of the same book. They are both wretched.
Shira Comments: My partner discovered this book at the Friends of the Library Book Sale in Ithaca, NY. With my love of mushrooms and her love of cheesy sci-fi, we had to have it, of course!

A brilliant picture out in the wild!
Many thanks to Shira!
Nix comments: This has an annoyingly shiny cover, so it may be hard to read its contents. It’s an anthology of four famous SF works: _2001_, _The Demolished Man_, _The Day of the Triffids_, and _I, Robot_. As you know, all of these contained city-sized giant mecha and huge explosions (although only two had the giant mecha dive-bombed by rocketships), so the cover is quite appropriate, and obviously is a fine piece of artwork: tasteful, yet subtle. I’m only sending it in because it’s so annoyingly shiny.
Many thanks to Nix!
