Happy St Patrick’s day! – Good Show Sir
Art Direction: Screw this! It’s a light hearted novel about a space dentist. Lets just give them exactly that. I mean, what could go wrong?

Art Direction: Come on, the concept is so straight forward! Like hands growing other hands sorta like flowers, while one plays a tiny trumpet. What? No I went off my medication because it was making my eyes feel furry.

Don Comments: “Helmets with bunny ears will overpower helmets with horns every time. So sayeth Ason the Incredibly Bored!”

Many thanks to Don!
Erik’s Art Direction: This is a serious book about proving that aliens exist so I want a flying saucer landing in a barren wasteland, better jazz up the saucer, maybe stick a few satellite dishes on it. Now I want he alien to be wearing overalls but make them a bit more ‘out of this world,’ stick a big collar on it. Now hair, three words – Emerson, Lake & Palmer. To finish off make it look like he has just a stream of flaming urine down his legs.

Not Fiction (I think) but still great.
Many thanks to Erik!
Art Direction: Look, I’m telling you there is NOTHING more erotic than a naked women with an over-sized insect. Hold on a second who are those guys? What are they doing with a straitjacket? Hey, get off me. Wait, it’s still a good idea, I swear…. draw it… and remember meeeeeeeeee!

Well it’s reached that time again were here in the UK we are blessed with bank holidays! So for those like myself who will be relaxing with an extra long weekend, here are some honourable mentions.
These covers break our explicit and hard kept rules, which are enforced with an iron fist. These are part of a franchise (this time of adventure choice novels), but nonetheless each of them sports an excellent cover so I hope you enjoy them.
Also just to say thanks to everyone who has been sending me in covers! We’ll slowly get through them all so keep an eye out and I promise they will appear at some stage.
Have a great weekend for those benefiting from it!
To face the evil rabbit turn to page 8
To run away turn to page 57
Tamsym comments: Found in a charity shop on the Isle of Wight, I’ve been looking for a home for this baby for six months. It’s got all the hallmarks of a classic: nipples – check; vacuous expression – check; absolutely no relevance to the title – check.
I’m not saying ghosts can’t be gay, mind. But you have to wonder about the plot arc, eh?
Thanks so much to Tamsyn!
Well magic is purple. Fact! So we are sorted for that but we need a way of getting magic’s amazing power across to people. I know, electricity… and some guy in obvious pain as he weaves his supernatural element. We all know that when you meddle with the supernatural all you get is that burning sensation of being electrocuted.
Thanks to CSA!
