Good Show Sir Comments: Another Chalker book? Does he send one in every week? I don’t care what the cover looks like. Get the new lad from the Unknown Artist Institute to throw something together. What’s his name? I keep forgetting.

Good Show Sir Comments: The tailor made a mistake and the band’s new stage outfits arrived with only one pant leg.

Bibliomancer’s Art Direction: A centaur-babe with an evil papoose devil-baby being chased by an alien army that looks like surfboards with eyes. Have that on my desk by five! And don’t forget the purse!

The Bibliomancer Comments: “I feel pretty … Oh so pretty … I feel pretty and witty and gay … And I pity … Any Infernal-Demon-From-The-Pit-Of-Hell who isn’t me today!”

Good Show Sir’s Art Direction: Helicopter, desert… naked women floating in the air being hit by a beam of energy. Sorry? That’s actually in the book? Well, there’s a turn of luck!

Good Show Sir’s Art Direction: Stuck for something to draw eh? All one has to do is follow the editors rhyme, “Golden chair on which a hunk may sit, dinosaur.” Yeah… it’s not much of a rhyme really. But here’s the twist: it’s in space!

Claire’s Art Direction: Hum, riders on the wind. Well obviously lots of wind in a pretty colour, and a rider – I know, a naked chick with body tats. Throw in some standard fantasy stuff, like a castle and a wizard dude et voila!

Adam Comments: The men being attacked by the sinister tentacle are not, in fact, wearing white leotards. They are covered in a fine white-haired pelt. I’m not sure who in the chain of events leading to the publishing of this book was taking copious amounts of drugs.

Happy New Year!
Well it’s 2011 and that means we have an entire year of quality book covers behind us. So here we will have a few of the best covers chosen by the Good Show Sir staff, helper monkeys or whatever.
Just want to say thanks to everyone who visits the site! I would have never have thought so many people would be interesting in joining us sharing these wonderful covers. Thanks to all the commenter’s out there, where would we be without your generous sarcastic undertones? Also want to say thanks to all the artists and writers we’ve had come along to the site, we love all these covers but sorry if we’ve caused any tears!
Finally, special thanks to the all those who have sent in and continue to email me covers! I apologise that I haven’t got back to everyone who has sent covers in and I do have quite the backlog but we’ll get through them all.. probably!
How could we not mention:
A personal favourite:
Everyone loves cat people!
CSA chooses magic, wizards, unicorns and fairies:
Finally, well… maybe we should come back later:
Kristen Comments: Sorry about the poor quality of the shot…in any case, it looks like the designer decided to throw something from EVERY short story in this collection onto the cover. At least I hope so, because if there were also armed dinosaurs, fighter jets, and authors working on home computers on board the Titanic, history books have been holding out on us.

Wow!
Many thanks to Kristen!
