Yes another year has passed and we have been through a lot. There’s been a overall disappointing 1000th Good Show Sir post, and a few cat people… oh and some real world stuff but who cares about that! I am of course kidding about our special 1000th post, it was excellent, well thought through and certainly wasn’t rushed. I do want to say a special thanks to the Tag Wizard, he’s been a real help over the past year! His skills are excellent and highly sought after so please continue to suggest your own tags to give him more work!
Once again no one has topped the ever strong I Sing the Body Electric, even with Chinese Good Show Sir making web imps to screw around with our delicate voting system.
2014 brings our 5 year anniversary and hopefully we’ll have something fun and actually well thought through! No promises though!
So here are some excellent covers to sum up the year! We’ll be back on Monday 6th Jan 2014 posting as normal, so that’s whenever we can be bothered!

Click for full imageAmy Comments: I will admit, I have not read these stories, so the cover may make a lot of sense if one has, but I haven’t so what the hell, anyway? We’ve got a mouse/rabbit/robocop creature of blue blood, who is apparently either surrendering to the beplumed armored dude stabbing him/her in the gut. That, or they’re about to kiss, I can’t tell. And is that supposed to be a maple leaf on his shield, because if it is, I think that tree is growing too close to Chernobyl.

Click for full imageAmy Comments: Letters invoking Art Nouveau is an interesting choice for a book where a modern man travels back to ancient Rome. Speaking of which, those are Roman sandals he is wearing. I just wanted to point that out because you might think he has his feet jammed into slimy cornucopias. Also, he is -traveling- -back- -in- -time-, people, not being served for dinner. Note the collaged photograph of an ancient city, how it is juxtaposed against the crudely watercolored landscapes and forms in the foreground, making us question, which is the -real- world?
