AWESOME! Can I have a go?Click for full image

Tom Noir Comments: I like to think that this is a heartwarming tale of an unlikely friendship, tragically cut short when Draco sneezes.

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! “What the – It looks nothing like me! I’m not paying you for that!”

Why does the dragon kite have a tree jammed in its mouth? Can’t do much for aerodynamics.

  3. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

FACT: 9 out of 10 successful Dragonfielders recommend a lycra body suit of colours that contrast strongly with the local environment, worn underneath your knickers, not the other way round.

I feel as though this picture is the fever-dream of a too-clever DM. A DM who introduced a story with a myopic dragon, in a valley with peculiar acoustics, nearby a town famous for its kite-making…and the party decided to kill the dragon anyway, leaving the embittered DM no option but to burn them all alive.

  5. A.R.Yngve Says:

Judging by the dragon’s reaction, the title ought to be DRAGONFREAKOUT.

  6. FearöfMusic Says:

Wait… does the actual dragon have wings? Because those don’t look like wings. Maybe he/she is stunned at the concept of a flying dragon.

Works better as a Far Side cartoon than a cover.

I’m not sure what it means, that the author has hidden it inconspicuously in the depths of her Web site. I do hope it’s because all of the contents had been published elsewhere…

  9. Tom Noir Says:

I’d forgotten all about this one! What in the H-E-double-hockey-sticks is going on with the dragon’s horns???

  10. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

@Tom:those are taps. Turn one, out comes fire. Turn the other, out comes ice. 🙂

@Tom Noir: That’s where they install the missiles.

  12. Tat Wood Says:

This and the ‘Star Beast’ from earlier in the week suggest a dragon version of a pick-up artist teaching reptiles with cats’ eyes how to leer at the lay-deez.

  13. Anna T. Says:

The dragon’s mouth looks completely ridiculous. It’s distorted like something out of a cartoon. And the dragon KITE looks more like a centipede. Or maybe a sandworm.
