The cover of the Ace Double, although marvellous as an image, is somewhat baffling since it shows men battling with giant tentacled robots which as far as I recall, appear nowhere within the text. Scandalous!

He put together all the parts for his human master, and they all fit, but…it still doesn’t look right.
Beyond the doorway, the other robot is standing at a control panel and windscreen with what seems to be a mass of bubbles lit from above. I fancy they’ve been dropped into an enormous glass of Faygo.
