Two-Fer Tuesday Teaser: Why does a mirror reverse left-to-right but not top-to-bottom?
Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Comments: Any similarity between the cover art and turn-of-the-millenium Hayao Miyazaki heroines is purely coincidental.

Either she’s into self-harm or it’s difficult to put on your lipstick upside down. Whichever way, I’m uncomfortable.

Mirrors don’t reverse right-left. If you look in a mirror, the reflection of your right hand is still on your right. Mirrors reverse front-back: when you look in a mirror, if you’re facing north, your reflection is facing south. But if you raise your right hand to point east, your reflection also points east. (Excerpt from my geometric optics lecture, I teach physics.)

It’s fascinating that she can hang upside-down and yet not get flushed and slightly disoriented from blood rushing to the head.

@Anna: why do you think she has slashed cheeks? To reduce the pressure, of course!

Unless her hair’s prehensile it’s going to be a big liability in hand-to-hand arborial combat.
