Sequel to 'Hunter/Biden'Click for larger image

Ryan Comments: Yes, a novel by Robert Sheckley. No, I don’t know what he meant by ‘the Sheckley type’ of hero illustration. Maybe it stands for ‘Sheckley & Magazines’ or ‘Sheckley & More’?

Published 1988

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! Are they anything to do with the Asian Dawn we read about in Time Magazine?

  2. Francis Boyle Says:

Dammit, I don’t think I’d want to suggest these two aren’t fully equipped. Oh, well, two out of three ain’t bad.

  3. fred Says:

Is this what the young folk call slash fic?

  4. Max Bathroom Says:

I’m thinking the lad on the right is the top and the blond guy is the bottom in that image.

  5. B. Chiclitz Says:

“Will you stop pointing that gun backwards!? The ricochets are killing me!”

  6. JuanPaul Says:

I like this cover. And the book is pretty good too.

That being said, Jean Reno looks better with a beanie.

  7. Queen Khentkawes Says:

Wait a minute. So the executioners purposely missed guy on the left, and they got guy on the right? (Presumably aiming at his black shirt to hide the blood?) And guy on the left is leaning on the now corpse-on-the-right so that it doesn’t keel over? I’m so confused!

So I guess those are bullet holes around the short one, but they also look like giant popcorn. In neither case does the pattern make sense.

@Max B: you’d be surprised how often it’s the other way around.

  9. Max Bathroom Says:

    Mythbusters, the shooty special.

  10. Verylatetotheparty Says:

@Max: I think, (in line with your earlier comment) it might be Mythbusters, After Dark.

  11. GSS ex-noob Says:

@Max, @Vlttp: not enough facial hair.

I saw Adam on a virtual panel discussing spacesuit design a couple weeks ago (His con was postponed, obviously). Jamie has apparently retired to spend more time with his mustache (or his blue bukkit).

Wait a sec, though… this is #(Probably)DicklessWeek on GSS so there may not be any After Dark action going on! No wonder these two are so fond of firearms.
