  1. Francis Boyle Says:

It stands on its own – preferably on a stand of it’s own. All suggestions as to to where that stand should itself stand gratefully received.

  2. THX 1139 Says:

Kate Jackson wonders why she stuck with Charlie’s Angels this long…

  3. Cornelius Says:

A real gentleman would offer her his cloak.

  4. Bruce A Munro Says:

“Tentacles. Why do I always get the ones with the tentacles?”

  5. fred Says:

    O, ho Sue froze.

  6. Tat Wood Says:

He picked a fine time to teach her to bowl off-breaks.

  7. Bibliomancer Says:

This Old House of Zeor is a real fix-er-upper.

  8. B. Chiclitz Says:

@FB (1)—Why, that stand would be out standing in its field!

  9. Bruce A Munro Says:

@Bibliomancer: is that a house, or a slightly redecorated cave? (Hmm – perhaps they’re going to flip that cave on this episode of This Old House of Zeor.)

  10. GSS ex-noob Says:

This is a pretty good series of books, but they invariably got terrible covers. It’s been a while since I read this one, but I don’t remember the heroine being so unclad. And the tentacles are wrong. Ah, Playboy. IIRC, the titular house is a substantial farmhouse and outbuildings thereof. Not a cave.

I’m not sure of the wisdom of using that blurb on a reprint. “Standing on its own” kinda contradicts “The Original Novel”, doesn’t it?

At least it’s not outstanding in its field. (Which, as I said, they do have)

    @TagW: needs Sime/Gen tag

  11. A. R. Yngve Says:

Sung to the tune of “House of Fun”:

    Good morning Gen
    Can I help you Sime?
    Eighteen today
    And it’s Selyn time
    I’ve got tentacles now
    Or so they say
    So if you’ll serve
    I’ll be on my way

    Welcome to the Sime/Gen!
    Now I’ve come of age
    Welcome to the Sime/Gen!
    Welcome to the lion’s den
    Tentacles on their way
    Welcome to the Sime…
