Were the glowing green heads removed from all the tree stumps?

We are the Lorax. We speak for the trees. Resistance is futile.

The planned edgy ’70s replacement for the Jolly Green Giant never got past focus group testing…

“The giant floating head lays its eggs in caves or the hollows of trees. Upon hatching, they will make their way to the nearest body of water, where they will go through the aquatic stage of their lifecycle. Most of the baby giant heads will be eaten by birds or otters, with only a few growing large enough to become airborne.”

The Green Man Group was predicted to be a trendy Broadway sensation, until they got lost on a backroad shortcut and the van got stuck in the bog. Haven’t been heard from since.

So it’s Batrachomyomachia, only with heads and trees.

@fred: Not nearly as funny, though.

Good comments all around, GSS. Especially to @Nomad.

I looked up reviews at various places. Apparently the book may have deserved this cover.
