Realism is our key to success. I’m talking about a dude in a space suit and a very large dome helmet. The face inside must be like a photograph so people can really imagine the scene is real. Don’t forget the explosions, lasers and space robots!

Ah, good ole STEN. Alot of my friends have read them, i’m not sure the covers are awful, they’re just… too bright or something.
Lets play “Whats behind the price tag?”… i think it says… “APPLE just dont give up” … stupid macs…

Is that a hinge-thingy just above his cod piece? I hope he’s not ah…um…hairy or that could get painful.

I assume its orange to camoflage it against the background of continual fiery explosions.
Also, what exactly are those flying, er, spirit-level-y, stanley-knife-y things in the background?

The otherwise-excellent Serrano Legacy series by Elizabeth Moon is cursed with covers almost exactly like this one, except the characters depicted are female. They tote huge guns even in the book about horses and the book about (very roughly) care of the disabled, and often dispense with little matters like spacesuits even though the background shows empty space (maybe they’re in front of a really big window, which seems unwise with huge explosions going on out there). They bear no particular physical resemblance to the characters in the books, of course. Artist, Fred Gambino.

Is that the red protection suit from MythBusters? Because Adam had been wondering where it’d gone.

A terrible teleporter accident involving a man and a cheap action figure?

At first glance I thought he was wearing a tiny orange Stetson or cowboy hat perched at a slightly-rakish angle outside his helmet dome.

People never gonna give you up,
People never gonna let you down,
People never gonna run around and desert you.
People never gonna make you cry,
People never gonna say goodbye,
People never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.

It’s a radical rethink of Agatha Christie: Marple Just Don’t Give Up. Although I don’t think Margaret Rutherford could get into that spacesuit and Joan Hickson would never wear orange.

Leak@17: Damn it, I was scrolling down the posts, hardly believing I was going to be able to RickRoll the thread, and you beat me to it! Well done.

@NomadUK: TBH I was rather surprised that 16 posts in there wasn’t a rickroll already…

This cover definitely deserves a RickRoll – GSS!

A web search shows that there are 429 words ending in ple. F’rexample (which is one of the words listed) there are diple, duple, hirple, souple, crapple, creeple, periople and more.
This might be the only chance I will ever have in my life to use the word bewimple.

@Tor: It’s not impossible that he’s bewimpled under that helmet.
Also he and his suit might be in a thruple.
