Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! Congratulations on this new direction: I can say without reservation it is definitely one of the shortest podcasts I’ve ever heard.

  2. RachelJ Says:

I second the congratulations- but I do think Dead Stuff needs to explain himself. I know when you’re a world-renowned book cover reviewer, zipping around the international book cover commentary circuit, it’s easy to let one more podcast slip your mind. But still… professionalism, and all that.

Next year, if you can afford the entrance fee.

  4. Bibliomancer Says:

The rave reviews are already pouring in. Gordon R. Dickson writes:
“This podcast is unrivaled not only in its class, but is in a class by itself”.

  5. SI Says:

With this technology…. we can give space sheep a voice! Good Show!

Warning though, I hear she’s a mean drunk.

  6. B. Chiclitz Says:

I’m sure this podcast will make the New York Times Best Seller list. GSS!

(By the way, I hear Chinese GSS has already ripped it off and is broadcasting it under their moniker.)

  7. Ray P Says:

I never realised GSS admin was a South African Boer. Happy trails across the digital veldt Voortrekker.

  8. JuanPaul Says:

It needs reverb. Lots of reverb.

  9. daard23 Says:

Finally! This is just what I need when I want to listen to something when I’m walking down the hallway to the bathroom!
    Congratulations to one and all!

  10. B. Chiclitz Says:

It’s great that GSS Admin was able to secure the services of Raket and Skibet to do the voices.

  11. Tor Mented Says:

Congratulations on your new format. May I suggest that you add a credits sequence just so you can do an after-credits sequence. It is a “thing,” as the kids these days say. Greatly looking forward to hearing how I sound with a posh accent. Testing: There, Harvard, Cholmondeley.

  12. Tat Wood Says:

Because one thing better than looking at bad covers is hearing them. Hands Free GSS.

  13. Bruce A Munro Says:

Congratulations on your new venture! Not really a big fan of Internet Radio Programmes [1], given that I prefer my words where I can keep an eye on them rather than vanishing into the Aether as fast as they appear, but I hope it prospers.

[1] “Podcast” always makes me think of Pod People.

  14. GSS ex-noob Says:

“Podcast of Mars”, anyone, where Mars is inappropriately yellow?

These are also the correct lengths for podcasts, i.e. I get bored and can’t focus on anything longer than about 3 min.

    @B’mancer: VGSS!
