JuanPaul Comments: “Not since Dune…”? You’re going serve up a softball like that to the GSS community?

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! Dune? Looking at the utter carnage depicted in this cover I have to go as far back as ‘Mahabharata’ for a comparison.

  2. THX 1139 Says:

    We all suspected Tom Cruise dreams of the guy on the left, anyway.

    We’ve now had 2 of the volumes (the second and third) in this sago*, and might as well have the first. It’s here: http://www.isfdb.org/wiki/images/a/a8/DRMDNCRSDM1981.jpg.

    Interesting that the same lady seems to appear in all of them, but gets younger as we progress through the series. Also, they all have the suggestive spaceships with faces.

    * Old joke:
    Announcer: “And now we present a family sago …”
    Voice off: “Sago? You mean saga. Sago’s a sticky mess!”
    Announcer: “Well, have you read this script?”

    So the power struggle is a dance-off? Inside a human-faced spaceship’s dream? Too psychedelic, man.

    Praise from Eric Lustbadger? Yeah, that’s going to increase my desire to read this. Suuure it will.

    Speaking of Dune, these two should be strapped into a couple of still-suits.

    Dune?!!!

    Squints at blurb, sees who said it. Oh, that explains it, the hack.

    Has anyone read any of these?
    Doesn’t “Don Punchatz” sound like a cartoon character’s name?
    Is this the finest use of the “interpretive dance” tag yet?

    Tune in next week for more of this sago. (AKA “frog spawn”. Thanks @L_L.)
