Max Bathroom Comments: Bad things happen when BRIAN BLESSED’s hat is so stylish it drives him mad.

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! “Mr Blessed, do you fancy this cover…?”
“NO!! It is just TOO LOUD!! HA HAAAA!!”

  2. THX 1139 Says:

How to look relaxed and furious at the same time.

  3. Francis Boyle Says:

The cover that answers the question “What if Brian Blessed had headwear that was louder than he is?”

  4. fred Says:

The cover that poses the question “WTF is up with the fingernails of Brian Blessed?”

  5. THX 1139 Says:

@fred: You should see his toenails.

  6. fred Says:

@ THX: So that’s what he’s shooting at.

  7. Ryan Says:

It looks to me like the hat, the king, and the skull are all singing an operatic trio together.

  8. Max Bathroom Says:

Or maybe an operetta:? something from the Mikado might fit quite well with that image.

  9. B. Chiclitz Says:

“Blimey, this Stilton is a bit too runny, even for me!”

  10. Bruce A Munro Says:

“Sir, I know it’s traditional to drink from the skulls of your enemies, but shouldn’t you have the gooey bits cleaned off first?”

Even worse than the Ice King’s hat.

If it’s a _demon_ crown, why does it have a halo? Irony?

  11. GSS ex-noob Says:

Is the hat a self-portrait, or maybe an ancestor? Or does it wield its demonic power to shape the wearer into its likeness? looks at guy in background Or does the artist only know how to draw one face and one kind of hair?

    And why so many eyeballs?

Even BRIAN BLESSED draws the line somewhere, and I hope this might be it. Possibly this is some cheap impersonator.

  12. THX 1139 Says:

@GSS xn: I might have known – John Rhys Davies!

  13. JuanPaul Says:

Brian Blessed does tolerate people mistreating his paperbacks.

  14. Tat Wood Says:

Can’t say I’m loving this ‘dark’ reboot of Trumpton.

  15. Verylatetotheparty Says:

@THX 1139, 5) As most artists here avoid doing feet, mercifully seeing his toenails is very unlikely.

@Bruce: Given the selection of cleaner ones on the floor he must prefer his skulls gooey.
