Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! Terminator Santa isn’t your father’s jolly old elf.

  2. Daard23 Says:

Creature at the bottom right = Jazz Hands tag!

  3. Bruce A Munro Says:

Being mind-controlled into destroying yourself by a mystery child is just one of those things in science fiction settings, but being mind-controlled by a kid dressed and coiffured like that is somehow downright embarrassing. I can understand robo-hobo being rather put out.

And those aliens in the back are _very_, well, Richard Corben-y.

  4. Tat Wood Says:

    Someone’s been smoking mojo filters.

  5. B. Chiclitz Says:

What’s up with that floating human arm? Judging by the look on the creature’s face, he has perhaps just discovered that it’s attached to a naked human babe!

  6. Max Bathroom Says:

I like that cyber-Santa is taking the time out from what seems to be a difficult situation to give mohawk man a thumbs up,

  7. THX 1139 Says:

Futurama has a lot to answer for.

  8. Tor Mented Says:

A behind-the-scenes look at how Ray Harryhausen created such realistic Santa Clause effects.

  9. GSS ex-noob Says:

So it’s called Warchild, but the armed person is an elderly cyborg. Maybe Warchild is mohawk boy lying there doing nothing, and he doesn’t commit war so much as dully watch it happening.

Is that a fossil or robot turtle over on the left?

  10. JuanPaul Says:

“You can’t make me wear a maaaaaask!”

  11. GSS ex-noob Says:

@JP: So then his lungs exploded from Covid. Makes sense now.

  12. A. R. Yngve Says:

It’s a Richard Corben cover, and it’s awesome on its own (Corben passed away last year)… so I can’t speak ill of it.
    But the blurb…

“Thrust through many dimensions, he has to defeat the powers that threaten to enslave all…”
    Blurb, simplified:
“He’s been pushed through many dimensions and now he’s got to kill some dudes that are bad news.”

  13. Phil Says:

Magician James “The Amazing” Randi returns from the grave to inhabit new robot body!

  14. Bruce A Munro Says:

@Phil: it’s one hell of an act!

  15. Anti-Sceptic Says:

“Arrrgh! This damned cassette won’t stop playing ‘Mr. Roboto’!”
