Looks like the Dick has had the first two fingertips of his left hand amputated. Probably why he traded the sword for a gun.

@Tor’s obviously happened upon a big stash of Dicks. (There is no way to phrase that in a reasonable manner)
Finally, by book 22, Dick has the smarts to use more-effective weaponry.
I’m not so worried about his pecs being weird, rather the inexplicable rest of his torso. And bighanditis, at least on the left. Looks like he forgot leg day again.
