“No, you fools, ‘neurotic’, not ‘erotic’!”

Santa and Jesus finally realized that Christmas is for everyone and that neither of them could claim the season as their own.
“I love you, Jesus!”
“And I love you, Santa!”

Live and learn, for me anyway.

@fred: Good for Samuel, but it doesn’t stop this looking like they’ve bumped into one another in a disused subway station.

@THX: Your comment is probably spot on actually, as Samuel’s partner was homeless when they met.

If they are going to call this erotic, at least one of them has to show some skin.

OK Santa. Now this time YOU sit on MY lap!

That is one of the creepiest covers I’ve seen…and I have a HP Lovecraft book.

Beats having a Chip on his shoulder.

OK, I’m really not comfortable with making fun of Delany’s love life, even indirectly.
February 1st, 2022 at 4:34 pm
As a clueless teenager in the 1960s I read all of Delany’s sci-fi novels without any inkling that he was either black or gay. But it was the best science fiction of its time.

@fred: In that case, it’s a perfect cover! I don’t think it’s even science fiction, despite the author’s usual output.

Strictly speaking this is an autobiography, hence not SF or Fantasy or anything in between. I don’t think it’s appropriate for GSS even aesthetically (where’s the genre content on the cover? Nowhere!).

@A.R. Yngve. There. I changed the title. Are we happy now?

It’s a weird painting style, but it’s a good likeness of Delany.
I don’t think autobiographies count either.
@Tat: we don’t know, they might have been into that.
@Bruce: Me neither. He seems like a decent guy, he’s a great writer, and Black gay dudes have always had a tough time of it.
However, I’m still gonna make fun of that capital B.

@TagW: shouldn’t this also have “author on the cover”? Because that’s obviously Chip.
