Good Show Sir Comments: Shamrock O’Dell and the Little People

Published 1972

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! 1. Leak Says:

Looks more like a thinly veiled attempt to command someone to do someone else’s job…

Also, does that guy in the back have a rotary telephone dial built in?

  2. fred Says:

The guy in front is trying to describe his favorite Vallejo cover.

  3. Francis Boyle Says:

Fun fact: everyone on this cover has a telephone dial built in. That’s why the guy on the left can’t understand what the problem is with butt-dialling.

  4. Tat Wood Says:

Gregg Wallace wonders when exactly Masterchef got so technological.

  5. Max Bathroom Says:

    @fred
Either that or he’s just met Billie Piper…

  6. Emster Says:

The people of the Veiled Planet were chatty and had difficulty getting to the point, but otherwise appeared not to be in any particular danger, so Shamryke tip-toed away without notice; he had other worlds to save…

  7. Lars of Mars Says:

That blurb reads like its already been run through anon’s anagram generator.

  8. Bruce A Munro Says:

    Shamryke Odell, save the worlds!

    From…
    Scary clowns!

    From…
    Mr. Bighead!

    From…
    Out of control Space Balls!

    From…
    Crippling buttock pain!

  9. The Blue Are Coming Says:

Odell Shamryke must jump across a giant man’s fingers to reach the winged rocket before it leaves planet Strype. Hopefully, he remembered to save it first.

Yet the evil Redbald is having none of it. He enlists Dvorak Kopf to contact a Triball spaceship to intercept him.

Can Shamryke find the Veiled World before the Triball catch him? It won’t be easy – the stupid planet is veiled, after all.

  10. Hammy Says:

    Hm…

Redbald – is he really bald, or is that dark spot behind his head a half-afro (on the rear half of his skull)? And I don’t think that’s a rotary telephone dial; he’s just preparing for a rockin’ solo on his space ocarina….
