You might remember this from here.

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! That bit in Zardoz was interior decoration, not an idea for a book cover!

  2. Raoul Says:

“Why is this cover painting for the new Farmer book still on my desk? It was supposed to be at the printer’s by noon.”

“And I can’t find the Polaroids that Beverly took at last night’s orgy!”

  3. Francis Boyle Says:

Literalism fail: I don’t think to bodies can count as scattered.

  4. Lillie Awesome Says:

It really underscores the importance of proper illumination to fall prevention, though, so there’s that.

  5. fred Says:

    A Bob Guccione production.

  6. B. Chiclitz Says:

This must have been one great photo shoot.

  7. Anna T. Says:

Well, those are certainly scattered bodies…

  8. Tor Mented Says:

I nominate this as the laziest cover on this site. And who dares gainsay me?

  9. Tat Wood Says:

It needs Shirley Bassey belting out the theme song, co-written by John Barry and John Donne.

  10. JuanPaul Says:

Try this: If you blur your eyes, it looks like two naked women floating in space!

  11. Bibliomancer Says:

A sheeping comes across the sky …

  12. Bruce A Munro Says:

@Tor Mented: Apparently the artist just read the first few pages and said “hey, naked people!”

  13. GSS ex-noob Says:

The cover is both more attractive and trippier with Space Sheep.

@Francis: Agreed. And lopsidedly — there’s plenty of room for another one on the front cover.

@Tor: Not I. We have a number of more hideous covers (including the previous one for this book), but this one certainly took the least effort. I do hope Beverly didn’t get much money for this. The random toy photos, cut and paste splodges, or things drawn by the untalented show much more effort and thought.

    @Tat: Goooldsheeper!

    To Your Scattered Boobies Go

  15. Tor Mented Says:

    To … your … Shatner … bodies … GO!
