    Gravity: How does it work?

    That’s no moon…its a bird feeder.

  4. Adzel Says:

“Diadems are a girl’s best friend.”

  5. A.R.Yngve Says:

    One word: Velcro-Boots.

  6. Lillie Awesome Says:

It’s not even the most badonkular cover in the series. Or the second most badonkular.

  7. Tor Mented Says:

    Does
    Maeve
    plan to
    shave?

  8. Anna T. Says:

Well, she is technically wearing some kind of pants (in the North American sense) if you look closely… but they’re clearly painted on, in the most literal take on it possible.

Or, to put it simply, those are some tight leggings she’s wearing..

  9. Bibliomancer Says:

Nobody is wearing pants. Not Maeve. Not the gremlins. Not the robot.

  10. JuanPaul Says:

“Away with you, Pants-o-Matic 6000, we have no desire for your services here.”

  11. GSS ex-noob Says:

Green dude on the left is getting a very serious look at Maeve’s badonkadonk. He appears to be studying it intensely. I think he likes what he sees, though he might be puzzled as to why she covers it at all.

@Lillie: At least she’s got something on it this time, and it isn’t sticking out. That’s 3 different artists — is the badonk emphasized in the text so much that they all did that as a faithful illustration? Was steatopygia a requirement?

@Anna: those are some very futuristic leggings, made out of a material we don’t have yet. So stretchy. So perfectly clingey. Hope she’s got futuristic anti-chafing and yeast infection meds.

    @JuanPaul: exactly!

  12. Tat Wood Says:

How is she standing upright on that branch? Did she extend her arm re-e-eally slowly? Is this, in fact, Stevie Nicks?

  13. GSS ex-noob Says:

@Tat: @ARY posited Velcro boots. Something of the sort would be required or else she’d have fallen on the aforementioned badonk.

Not enough flowy fabric to be Stevie Nicks, though she might be telling the bot to “stand back”.

I really can’t tell how big or close the bot is. This artist is better at butts and branches.

  14. B. Chiclitz Says:

@GSSxn—Exactly what I thought about the well-positioned green dude. Well parsed.

@ Admin—GSS & lol on the scroll over text! 😉

  15. Bruce A Munro Says:

“You guys go stop the fourteen thousand ton Deforesto-Matic. I’ll stay here and use my magic diadem to send you useful advice.”

@GSS ex-noob: the artist likes big butts, he cannot lie, or stop drawing them.

  16. JuanPaul Says:

Give that girl a hyrdo-flask and a scrunchie, stat!

  17. GSS ex-noob Says:

@Bruce: Yes, I eventually surmised the bot is gigantic by looking at the bottom (har) where it’s eating trees. But the top looks as though it could be small and close

The thing is, these covers are by three DIFFERENT artists! So I expect naked butts feature prominently. The art department must have looked at the back of their portfolios first.

@JP: It’s amazing how she keeps her hair so flowing and clean in the forest. Maybe the diadem has hairstyling capability.

  18. Bruce A Munro Says:

@GSS ex-noob: she probably has the free hairstyling which is part of the employment package for all fantasy/soft SF heroines. I mean, have you ever seen an Elfin princess with a bad case of bed-head or the high-humidity frizzies?

  19. GSS ex-noob Says:

@Bruce: Depending on genre, it’s either magic or futuristic tech. This one’s obviously magic (as are her tights). The bot doesn’t look to have a delicate touch.
