Is a Killough something you get with the Covid?

  2. Max Bathroom Says:

I’m very disappointed that Jana Brill and Mama Maxwell are police officers: with names like that, shouldn’t they be part of a pop band?

  3. fred Says:

I don’t see how the whole vertical cop/horizontal cop thing is relevant to quality policing.

  4. Francis Boyle Says:

Future police? What we need here are some fashion police, preferably ones experienced in the fashion crimes of the 80s.

  5. Griz Says:

The 80s called. They if you try to send that fashion back they well cut you.

  6. Tat Wood Says:

Yet another franchise of a by-the-book cop who’s into paperwork, casting the right shadow and gravity teamed up with a maverick who plays by his own rules. It’s not pretty but it gets results.

  7. Bruce A Munro Says:

She remembered to bring along her _magnetic_ high heeled boots to the space station, so she sticks to the floor. Her partner didn’t, so she just propells him along with kicks to the groin.

@Francis Boyle: I’ve always thought of these books taking place in an alternate universe where the fashions of the late 70s and early 80s never went away (not the Darkest Timeline, but definitely near that end of the bell curve)

  8. B. Chiclitz Says:

Future cop Janna Brill must contend with a hairstyle that doesn’t seem to exist either.

  9. Daard23 Says:

I can tell this takes place in the future. The control panel has two radar screens!

  10. THX 1139 Says:

Is that one of those digital watches where you have to press a button to read the time?

  11. Bibliomancer Says:

Not one dragon tooth on the cover. I’m disappointed.

  12. A. R. Yngve Says:

This has got to be a photo, I swear.
(But where was it taken? Inside a Soyuz capsule?)

  13. GSS ex-noob Says:

Why are these two always at right angles to each other? Wouldn’t it be easier to talk if they were floating in the same direction? Is this a bad partnership?

Maybe 80’s Samuel L. Jackson is ready to cut a mofo who wants him to conform to someone else’s sense of up and down, and clothing. Also, he might be saying “AAHHH!”

These actually weren’t bad books. I’ve got one where they’re both standing on the ground normally next to an “80’s future” car.

@Bellatrix: is that a “Dinosaurs” joke? I hope so.

@Max B: They’ve got the outfits for it.
