Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! 1. THX 1139 Says:

8/10 readers recommend it because it’s solid nourishment.

  2. Cornelius Says:

He’s using his magics to demand to know who’s been a good dog.

  3. Tor Mented Says:

I was impressed with the extra texture of the background, until I realized that the book is in a shrink-wrap.

All things Fur Magic. The Hungary 1989 edition is…..interesting…..for a Norton cover.
Today’s is a wrap around. Also 2 different sets of interior illustrations.

Which voice would Johnny Morris use for this?

  6. JuanPaul Says:

Sounds like a conditioner for my dog’s coat.

  7. Bibliomancer Says:

Andre Norton channels her inner Carlos Castaneda

  8. Bruce A Munro Says:

@Bibliomancer: CC’s first Mystical Hooey book came out the same year as this effort by Norton. Probably something in the water at the time.

    Fur out, man.

  9. GSS ex-noob Says:

Chief Derp Wolf at your service.

@fred: The Hungarians and Russians definitely didn’t read the book. Heck, I’m not sure Alicia Austin did, what with the geography being 1000 miles off.

GSS to Cornelius, Tor, JP, and Bruce. Furever funny.

  10. B. Chiclitz Says:

    Gladly the cross-eyed bear.

  11. THX 1139 Says:

Surprised nobody’s gone with “Fur Fuck’s Sake” yet.

  12. Francis Boyle Says:

I’m just glad they went with a closeup.

  13. Bruce A Munro Says:

@Francis Boyle: taking human form from the neck down and then not bothering to put pants on actually seems in character for Coyote.

  14. GSS ex-noob Says:

I know it’s supposed to be Coyote, but it doesn’t look like a coyote. Particularly a pre-human one.

Looks a lot like a Belgian Malinois I used to know. Who was a very good boy.

  15. A. R. Yngve Says:

Noooooo!! THX beat me to the punch with the “Fur F***’s Sake” pun!
    :-O

  16. MostlyHarmless Says:

    Sir, that is a furry.
