Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! Burke and Hare vs Dracula’s Grandmother

  2. THX 1139 Says:

(80s joke) “Aw gee, the tracking on the graveyard ghosts is out of whack again.”

“Sorry, wrong planet! I’m supposed to haunt somewhere else…”

Yellow and with three fingers. Is this a Simpsons crossover?

  5. GSS ex-noob Says:

Simak’s work is gentle and elegiac, very much pastoral…

… so let’s put a scene from a cheap foreign horror movie on it.

@THX: I don’t think it’s tracking, the top isn’t bent over at a 45 degree angle and there aren’t any of those little tracking rainbow dot/line things at top or bottom. (80’s response)

  6. Bruce A Munro Says:

“Look, do you want your dead body dug up or not?”

Admittedly, drawing a Hazer, who are wondrous and beautiful in life with their glowing, golden auras, ugly and alien after they die and their light goes out, would be a hard trick for any artist to pull off. “Radioactive space granny in a bathrobe” probably wasn’t the best way to go about it, however.

  7. B. Chiclitz Says:

No way to tell whether that’s a good foot or a bad foot.

  8. Bruce A Munro Says:

@B. Chiclitz: that’s the advantage of working with aliens. Some don’t even have feet!

  9. Tor Mented Says:

Geez, don’t tell me they’re bringing back Aunt May again!

  10. GSS ex-noob Says:

@Bruce: GSS for “Radioactive space granny in a bathrobe”.

@Tor: Nobody stays dead in comics except Uncle Ben. Anyway, MCU Aunt May is the far-from-decrepit Marisa Tomei, so this would have to be the comic book version. Even Lily Tomlin in “Into the Spider-Verse” kicked ass.

Looks like Cliff got stuck with one of the reject covers that they couldn’t pawn off on anyone else…
