    “Look! Up there in the sky!”
    “It’s a bird!”
    “It’s a plane!”
    “It’s Flying Super Jungle Dude!”

  2. THX 1139 Says:

    Yeah, very clever. Now dive UP the waterfall.

  3. Bibliomancer Says:

    “Leepan Vanki, Batman! It’s Tarzan in Poika!!”

  4. SI Says:

    Wait… is Tarzan a giant or is that a very small water fall?

  5. Francis Boyle Says:

    @THX 1139

    Well, if you look at it sideways he’s diving up. Which makes about as much sense as as whatever the artist was trying to portray (waterfall bodysurfing?).

  6. fred Says:

    The Russian judge only gives Tarzan a 5 while he gave Count Vronsky a 9.8.

  7. JuanPaul Says:

    “uh oh, Tarzan make miscalculation. This gonna hurt “

  8. Bruce A Munro Says:

    Every year, great schools of Tarzans migrate downstream to mate.

  9. THX 1139 Says:

    Tarzan lands with a bellyflop – but on the bright side, discovers the classic “yell”.

  10. Tracy Says:

    “Tarzan lost legs below knee to hungry lion. Now must swim everywhere!”

  11. B. Chiclitz Says:

    Too late Tarzan discovers that his famous yell, which will summon the jungle animals to catch him when he falls from a tree, has no effect on fish.

  12. Ryan Says:

    The leopard-skin panties are nice.

  13. GSS ex-noob Says:

    Obligatory theme music:

    I agree with everyone that he’s about to belly-flop. So much for his mighty image. Why he didn’t just jump off that waterfall, I don’t know. It isn’t going to impress Jane at all.

    @B’man, @BC: GSS.

  14. Bruce A Munro Says:

    The new Johnny Weissmuller statue for the Brazzaville wax museum was, alas, lost in the rapids.

    Did a Google Translate of the Finnish text…

    “Tarzanin Poika” means “Tarzan’s Son,” so it’s Junior who’s defying the laws of gravity here.

    “Leepan” couldn’t be translated, but “Vanki” means “Prisoner.”
    “Ja” means “And…”

    And “Luostarin Kirous” means “Curse of the Monastery.”

    So the cover apparently depicts either a prison or a monastery. I’m stumped…
