    Leda and the Frogs?

(I’m trying to work out which Springfield resident would have used the word ‘droll’: probably Monty Burns.)

  2. B. Chiclitz Says:

Speaking of drollery, why am I not surprised that hybrid human/frog feet are hard to draw too?

  3. Tor Mented Says:

The fairy in the lower right is surely thinking, “Christ, what an asshole!”

  4. fred Says:

I find it highly unreasonable no one has drawn nipples on the bat winged hybrid.

  5. GSS ex-noob Says:

These guys wrote a great deal together, mostly comedic romps involving literary works, but you didn’t need to know that to enjoy them. “Droll” doesn’t sound like a good description of fast-moving Quest adventure stories.

I don’t recall any non-papillial men with frog hybrids in their other work. I haven’t read this one, but I doubt that’s likely here.

Looks like they just slapped a fantasy-looking cover on it. It takes place in Faerie Land, so I am not ruling out the unimpressed fairy about to exit stage left being a later addition.

Only after looking at it and the larger version and googling and written this have I realized he seems to be attacked by a conjoined twin waterfowl.

The original cover is goofy, and the current one by you-know-which publisher seems to have lost Pratt’s name.

    @Tat: Bravo and GSS.

  6. Ryan Says:

Frog pox strikes even the hybrids.

  7. Francis Boyle Says:

This is what happens when you lick toads.

  8. Emster Says:

This is what happens when you eat “special” brownies whilst reading the 70’s Frog and Toad kids books… and licking toads (@FB: you are warped and I like it!)

Seriously tho, after looking up the reviews, I’d read it.
