  1. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

That doesn’t look like a revolt at all. Perhaps ‘Robot Mid-Life Crisis’?

  2. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

‘Obviously written for children, but that doesn’t quite explain why it would have to be so dull.’

Goodreads is not kind to Mr. Fisk!

  3. THX 1138 Says:

In the future, everyone gets a diversity Oscar!

(Oh, and I won’t hear a word against Mr Fisk, I loved his books as a child, and I’m getting real flashbacks seeing two of his covers in a matter of two weeks.)

  4. Bibliomancer Says:

After The Singularity the robots will all become Jehovah’s Witnesses.

  5. Ray P Says:

Public information: children, never open the door to strange gold metal skin men.

  6. Noel Says:

    Hi Honey, I’m home!

  7. Noel Says:

Those golden abs have created their own ting. Or is it an optical illusion like one of those face/vase things?

  8. anon Says:

I’m a little worried that a robot would need to wear trousers but not a shirt.
Why is the robot so muscular anyway? Is this the “repairman” mommy ordered?

  9. fred Says:

Little did people realize that Sparky McRoberts, door-to-door doorknob salesman, was already plotting the overthrow of the human race.

  10. Tom Noir Says:

    “Honey, I’m chrome!”

  11. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

    ‘Home, I’m honey!’

  12. Ray P Says:

Robot revolt begins by removing tie, shirt, jacket. Pretty disturbing that the rest comes off before human child.

  13. A.R.Yngve Says:

“A shocking look into the future world of 2016, when robots take over the workplace. Thinking machines prove more efficient at sending faxes, using typewriters and posting letters… and human workers, rendered obsolete by the robotic competition, are left with nothing to do but watching videotapes and playing Atari videogames!”

  14. Ray P Says:

The fall and rise of Reginald Petabyte.

  15. Anna T. Says:

That guy looks like C-3PO’s ripped, badass cousin. Who may need to wear pants because he’s, y’know . . . anatomically correct . . . No wonder there’s a revolt going on.

  16. Tat Wood Says:

‘Mommy – Dad’s been dressing as a robot again”

“Close the closet door and walk away, Jimmy.”

  17. A.R.Yngve Says:

“Stop staring, human! I want to be appreciated for my intellect, not my body!”

  18. B. Chiclitz Says:

There are so many weird details it’s hard to know where to start. It’s so weird, for example, that he has a navel. Was the umbilical cord made of PVC pipe?

And if he has a navel, why not nipples on those weird pecs? Or pupils for his eyes?

    PS @Tom Noir 10—Good Show Sir!! 😉

  19. Ray P Says:

Navel is obviously USB recharge socket. Or vacuum cleaner hose mount point.

  20. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

Has anyone considered that it is a revolt of Nicholas Fisk robots?

  21. Ikari Gendo Says:

I think a scene where a kid finds his mom’s huge gold-colored sex toy is revolting.

  22. DaveM Says:

“Hello human child. I am your paternal family unit returning from my designated duties for an evening of social interaction.”
‘Mom, the robot’s pretending to be Dad again!”

  23. lctwice Says:

The kid is thinking, “Just a few more steps into my pitch black room, mwahaha…”

  24. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

You could swap this cover with Naked Came the Robot and it would be more appropriate, almost.

  25. Tom Noir Says:

Robot Dad returns home from his job as a male stripper.

  26. Hammy Says:

Why do I hear the title of this book to the tune of the MST3K theme song?

    …Ro-bot Re-volt!

    Gypsy! Cambot! Tom Servo! Crooooooooooooooooow!

  27. JJYoyo Says:

Asimov met Arthur Miller and the collaborated to create “Death of a Salesrobot “
No comment on whether the child is Biff or Happy.

  28. GSS ex-noob Says:

    Early concept art for “WandaVision”?
