You may think this book strikes a bum note, but it’s actually about chins.

  2. fred Says:

Perfect setting for a book like this because in 1969 NYC was the most puritanical place in the world.

  3. Anna T. Says:

Presumably the “cleft” is either, as the esteemed THX 1139 mentioned, the involved individuals’ rears, or perhaps its the bloody great chasm that seems to have opened abruptly in the middle of Manhattan.

  4. Tom Noir Says:

I bet it smells awful down there.

  5. Tor Mented Says:

There are a lot of cheeky puns to be made, but I can’t be arsed.

  6. Bibliomancer Says:

Google Maps Street View sometimes holds a surprise.

Only six comments? I thought it would have been the butt of a lot more jokes.

  8. GSS ex-noob Says:

All the obvious jokes are gone. Hell, half the obvious jokes are on the damn cover.

I think there might be a place for Space Sheep, but everything other than that butt front and center is so badly painted that I’m not sure.

Despite the description of wild sex games, I see their swinging eroticism doesn’t extend to anyone who isn’t pasty white. For Manhattan in ’69 (ha, found a crack) (make that two), it sure looks like suburban key parties.

  9. B. Chiclitz Says:

Spent the day in what is euphemistically called “productive activity.” Missed all the fun. Nothing to add; guess I’m bummed out.

The author’s got quite a backlist.
