Emster Comments: Vendor parking? Go back toward Little Princess Bouncy Castle, turn left at Jolly Jousters Water Play Area, pass the Paint Your Own Coat of Arms craft tent and the jester in the orange parking vest will direct you from there.

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! You know there are times when I actually wish for a Baen explosion or three.

Berkley brings the ‘funky Jose’ ‘, which is a term I’m afraid to Google.

  4. Ryan Says:

Joseph Smith and Brigham Young arrive in Vinland.

  5. Tat Wood Says:

The obvious thing most people remember from the books is that everyone who has ever lived is reincarnated at once, stark naked. Even Chuck Connors and Dan Blocker.

That might have been preferable to this cover.

  6. Bruce A Munro Says:

“And we’ll put the plot hole over there.”

@Emster: the Ren Fair from which even death is no escape.

  7. GSS ex-noob Says:

First off, a hearty GSS for @Emster’s art direction!

And more GSS to Tor, Ryan, and Bruce.

  8. Emster Says:

Hm, looks like I should have done a better job setting the focus on the cover instead of the chair behind it… though I’m not sure in this case it really would have mattered… the GSS crew made quick work of it!

@Tag Wizard: pulleth finger… giggle! I owe you some better focussed covers, some of ’em I actually bought, so “re-do’s” to follow. Let’s just say I was a better photographer with ye ol’ manual camera than them there phone camera thingies.

  9. JuanPaul Says:

    I’m pretty sure that’s a fjord.

  10. GSS ex-noob Says:

@Juan Paul: Agreed. Which seems to not be apt for a Riverworld.

@Emster: Sometimes, a bit of soft focus is a blessing for those of us who gaze upon these covers.

  11. A. R. Yngve Says:

    “Which way to the Riverworld?”

“That way! Well actually, both ways. It just goes on forever.”
