You might remember this from here.

Actually, that cover IS a classical work of art!I would touch it without protective gloves.I've seen worse. Far, far, worse.Interesting, but I would still read it in public.Middlng: Neither awful nor awfully goodWould not like to be seen reading that!Awful... just awful...That belongs in a gold-lame picture frame!Gah... my eyes are burning! This cover has a border within a border?? Borderception! Mind Blown!

  2. THX 1138 Says:

    Strike a pose, there’s nothing to it…

  3. fred Says:

This cover could have been 100% assymmetrical with better pygmy placement.

  4. Bibliomancer Says:

@Tom Noir – A border within a border and then 4 castle turrets and two flags to support the panel which contains 3 titles.

I award 10 Shurikens of Approval. Good Show Sir!

Pygmy guy on left pleads his case:

“C’mon, I thought you all say size doesn’t matter!”

“It’s not that, so much, but your horribly swollen leg.”

  7. Raoul Says:

The puppymonkeybaby on the right is doin’ The Dab.

  8. Anna T. Says:

You forgot that the albino elf has Rapunzel-length hair. I’m curious as to what that woman is thinking, by the way. Maybe that, considering her company, she’s a tad overdressed?

Following yesterday’s Battle of the B7 Babes (I always preferred Dayna), this looks like someone was watching ‘The Web’

Let me teach you how to walk through the landfill.

  13. Dead Stuff With Big Teeth Says:

Those dippy anti-gravity Neuschwannstein turrets don’t appear in the original. Don’t know about the blue diamond, either.

“Where I come from, we tread grapes to make wine…”

“Oh-ho! But on planet Darkover, we tread meat to make sausage. Come, join the fun!”

  15. GSS ex-noob Says:

I wouldn’t have thought it possible to get worse than the previous cover.

But this is GSS, so of course it can.

Who even are all these characters supposed to be, why is the albino also a famine victim, da fuq are they standing on/in front of, why are there so many borders and titles?

Do we have Ting! on the blue diamond?

And traditionally, doesn’t the Blue Diamond signify highest quality farmer’s collective almonds? I’d certainly believe this book is completely nuts.

We need a tag: “Frames With Castles On Them”.
