Shiinnnny so shiny……. Yea that’s exactly what I want people to say when they look at the cover. I want silver, a black web, and a little spyder… sorry I mean spider… but you see what I was doing there… right?
Thanks to Graeme!

Has anybody told him yet that he spelled spider wrong. That dust jacket would definitely come off if I were reading that in public.

yeah, that cover would definately get you attention in public.. but mostly because you’re blinding everyone with its awesome spydery shinyness.
The font could be bigger though (well maybe not) and embossed for added offensiveness

I’ve seen some of the other covers for Spyders Web, and let me say this: I think we have multiple candidates on our hands!

I’ve been looking at the spider…oops, my bad, spyder…and I’m sure it looks like one of the aliens from Space Invader.
Has the alien after 20-odd years of no work, managed to get a job, mascarading as a spyder on book covers? Good to know there is life after 80s arcade games.

I think this kind of cover only “works” if it refers to something that is already hugely well known — like, for instance, a series of Tom Clancy books.
It doesn’t work so well otherwise — spiders and spiderwebs are just too vague to mean something other than, well, spiders and spiderwebs.

I actually quite like that stylized spider (spyder?). I can imagine that design on an earring in Affleck’s Palace, Manchester, back in the mid 80’s when I was a goth. It would have been made of some nasty toxic metal that turned my earlobe black. Happy days!
Anyway, font problems tag needed here.

Spyder? You mean it’s a convertible automobile? 😉
