Yes another year has passed and we have been through a lot. There’s been a overall disappointing 1000th Good Show Sir post, and a few cat people… oh and some real world stuff but who cares about that! I am of course kidding about our special 1000th post, it was excellent, well thought through and certainly wasn’t rushed. I do want to say a special thanks to the Tag Wizard, he’s been a real help over the past year! His skills are excellent and highly sought after so please continue to suggest your own tags to give him more work!
Once again no one has topped the ever strong I Sing the Body Electric, even with Chinese Good Show Sir making web imps to screw around with our delicate voting system.
2014 brings our 5 year anniversary and hopefully we’ll have something fun and actually well thought through! No promises though!
So here are some excellent covers to sum up the year! We’ll be back on Monday 6th Jan 2014 posting as normal, so that’s whenever we can be bothered!

Your round-up of the year neglected to mention the newly-installed Random Terrible Cover feature. Who knows how many man-hours have been spent on this among the regulars and passers-by? Hours that could have been spent developing cold fusion, campaigning for a fairer world or writing really good novels that get their own truly awful and pointless covers.

I propose a new unit of measurement, the ‘Bokrug’. Whereas Sarnath had 64 comments for a long time, any cover with 64 comments has a Bokrug. One with 32 comments has a semiBokrug. One with 16 comments has a demisemiBokrug. One with eight has a hemidemisemiBokrug. One with four has a zemihemidemisemiBokrug.
As I write, only Tat Wood has commented on the Old Year Sum Up. That gives the Old Year Sum Up…a lemmyzemihemidemisemiBokrug. 🙂
Congratulations to the admin, the Tag Wizard, and the army of underlings and commentators that give this site life. Let’s have a jolly 2014!

If we celebrate the last year with an aardvark, it’ll be interesting to see what the new year will bring, though probably best not to speculate.

Chinese Good Show Sir was planning a gala Chinese New Year post but their admins and tag wizards have been lazy and unproductive ever since that shipment of British opium arrived. Perhaps they will get it together in time for the planned 5000 year anniversary celebration post. So Solly!

This is cool. Am I really only 52 again? And the past 10 years have just been a dream?
