Tim Comments: Hot babe fairy queen, standing on slime-mold covered stairway to nowhere. Add in super-wussy fairy dude, you gotta feel for him, they put him in quite possibly the worst costume of all time. And the photo doesn’t do justice to the garishness of the blue background and orange border. And of course lots of different fonts.

This third hardcover reissue contains two novels written by a Hungarian author under English pseudonym. Writing fantasy and science fiction stories under English pen names was very popular in the 90s. And many readers really thought that these writers are from abroad.

Translating the Hungarian title to English was also a strange tradition in these books just like the English pen names for Hungarian writers. You can read inside that, A szellemlt, means, The Spiritseer. Hardcover.

Art Direction: I want this one looking exactly like a scary leaflet you’d get from some crazed new age cult! Naked opaque giant men, lens flares, rings of fire and eighties squiggles! We’ll double our congregation with this. Sorry, I mean readers… or… do I?

Phil A’s Art Direction: We’d like a bunch of mismatched photo-referenced people all standing around looking bored on some kind of…planet, or something. And one of them has to be the lead singer from Mott The Hoople.

Amy Comments: I will admit, I have not read these stories, so the cover may make a lot of sense if one has, but I haven’t so what the hell, anyway? We’ve got a mouse/rabbit/robocop creature of blue blood, who is apparently either surrendering to the beplumed armored dude stabbing him/her in the gut. That, or they’re about to kiss, I can’t tell. And is that supposed to be a maple leaf on his shield, because if it is, I think that tree is growing too close to Chernobyl.

Christal’s Art Direction: Let’s go for Evil Dead 3, only we’ll place it on The Grid from Tron and give the monsters laser guns! Oh and this time no boomstick, it gave him an unfair advantage.
