Ashton Comments: Help, I’m being attacked by a giant robot… whose torso is stuffed with… spaghetti? Maybe bring a fork.

Nix comments: This has an annoyingly shiny cover, so it may be hard to read its contents. It’s an anthology of four famous SF works: _2001_, _The Demolished Man_, _The Day of the Triffids_, and _I, Robot_. As you know, all of these contained city-sized giant mecha and huge explosions (although only two had the giant mecha dive-bombed by rocketships), so the cover is quite appropriate, and obviously is a fine piece of artwork: tasteful, yet subtle. I’m only sending it in because it’s so annoyingly shiny.
Many thanks to Nix!
Eyelashes! We’ll have a dragon with eyelashes, peering over at some wizard reading his dragon magical book. It won’t just be any mage, he’ll have a magical staff! Unheard of I know. And a side parting to make the king of side partings proud. As for the title, make it silver. We have to stand out somehow.
Here you go boss, we’ve spent all weekend on this. It’s called “sea”, right? Well, what do we love under the sea? Mermaids of course! With long hair and large… fins. And what else could we grab people’s attention with? An underwater dragon!!! Booo yeah!!! Just tell me how that doesn’t make perfect sense!?! No boss, you don’t actually have to answer that…
OK, spinning my cover creator wheel again! We have… dragons, plural – nice! The dragons are (throwing my action dice)… shitting out fire, awesome! Hmm, they are also… (roll)… carrying… (spin)… a woman in a Persian rug, touch! And in the background this time we will have a….. pyramid… awww just like the books name!

Art direction: So, I want a couple of flying kids coming at each other with swords.Have them in some sort of orbital dome around an exploding world. Oh, oh, and have the swords electrified!
