Tom Noir Comments: Frog people, monkey people, fish people and lizard people? It’s like it’s Tag Wizard’s birthday!

It’s another bank holiday weekend and that can only mean one thing for us here at Good Show Sir! Party time! Or possibly just the cinema and a few beers, which might be a party… to some people.
These covers have been sent in by the very excellent Saxy Stevenson who found them while in Nepal. Hope you enjoy them, as for the published dates… ummm can anyone here read Japanese?
Marmontoast Comments: Evidently, there really is a bird-like entity in the novel, deciding humanity’s fate. If only it could answer its mobile phone!

Art Direction: A lizard… with a codpiece… fighting in World War 2 may seem like a crazy idea. But just put him in a work out vest and give him a laser gun. It will all work itself out!

Kevin’s Art Direction: Don’t put a red flame ANYWHERE on the coverthat’s too obvious! Instead, put Grizzly Adams into a jumpsuit and have him talking earnestly to a lizard man who’s walking a giant stag beetle through an alien city. Insert sexual tension by hiding the human’s left hand behind the lizard man’s buttocks. Also, hide both bipeds’ right feet from view so people will focus on the fact that the beetle is practically floating.

Many thanks to Kevin!
Don Comments: It’s so embarrassing when Mummy catches you playing dress-up in her things, even if you’re an alligator. Maybe PARTICULARLY if you’re an alligator.

Don Comments: OK, we’ve seen tons of perms and oodles of mullets on these covers – but I do believe this is the first permed mullet. (Pullet?) Assuming that’s the eponymous Bard whose Tale this is, he’s apparently not the brightest light in the harbor, since he a) agreed to accompany his hairdresser on a thieving expedition from an albino lizard-man (do such things EVER end well?) and b) misunderstood her when she said she wanted him along to carry the loot.

Many thanks to the Don!
Sarah’s Art Direction: Look, I know it’s 4:30 on a Friday, but surely you can come up with something.
Tag Wizard: The whole GSS staff is away on a team-building seminar this week. Trust falls and all that. Enjoy a GSS Retrospective until we return!
