Art Direction: Look Moorcock’s covers are always strange. It’s like previous publishers took a handful of amphetamines before putting them to market. All we need is a big 80’s girls head floating in lots of clouds and some people on horses riding into war. No one will suspect any type of solvent abuse… well… until they read the thing!

Corwin Comments: The first time I saw this cover, I couldn’t take my off off it for at least 5 minutes in macabre fascination. The art work is amazingly detailed, right down to the untied shoe laces. Even so, three car wrecks, a space ship, and an alligator make for quite a combination with Jeff Martini and Katherine “Kitty” Katt.

Might be comedy, but I can’t resist a space alligator!

Tim Comments: Hot babe fairy queen, standing on slime-mold covered stairway to nowhere. Add in super-wussy fairy dude, you gotta feel for him, they put him in quite possibly the worst costume of all time. And the photo doesn’t do justice to the garishness of the blue background and orange border. And of course lots of different fonts.

Tom Noir’s Art Direction: Stevens! We have a problem. ‘Demon Muskrat Vixens,’ just came back from the printers with a picture of some giant cube on the cover. What happened to that crazy ass piece we originally commissioned for it?!

This third hardcover reissue contains two novels written by a Hungarian author under English pseudonym. Writing fantasy and science fiction stories under English pen names was very popular in the 90s. And many readers really thought that these writers are from abroad.
